Siemens Automation and Drives (A & D) was a division of the Siemens Group. It offered a complete range of products and systems for manufacturing and process automation and building electrical equipment, complemented by a range of training and services. Based on Totally Integrated Automation and Totally Integrated Power, Siemens implemented A & D solutions for automation and power distribution.

The offer ranged from products for the automation and drive technology as well as the electrical installation technology over system solutions for example for machine tools up to industry solutions for all industries. In addition, A & D provided software for the connection of production and management levels (horizontal and vertical IT integration) as well as for the optimization of production processes
